Applying the principle of parsimony in treatment: It really should be that simple.

Recently, I’ve heard the same commercial multiple times pitching a therapeutic cure-all, making patently false claims. This is nothing new, as companies are always providing fancy claims to sell their products. I find it disturbing that people are willing to say anything to make a buck, and it’s sad that vulnerable individuals continue to be preyed on with these scams.

When it comes to treatment, less is usually more. The best treatments don’t have any special mystical methods. Rather, they’re simple, and straightforward. They don’t use fancy sounding nonsense, and choose plain language that’s easy to understand. The goal of a treatment provider should not be to trick you like a magician; instead, should be teaching you how the techniques work so you can implement them into your daily life.

In scientific research, the principle of parsimony (Occam’s razor) establishes that the simplest explanation is the best explanation. Likewise, treatment should follow this standard of utilizing the simplest method that produces the equal or greater results.

P.S. If the treatment provider is waving their hands over your face or body trying to manipulate the energy in some way, it’s time to find a new provider. Run, run fast, faster.
